Riverton City is divided into five (5) voting districts of substantially equal population. Each Council Member is elected from within a district and the Mayor is elected at-large.

Riverton City City Council Meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of each month beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Riverton City Hall, located at 12830 South 1700 West, Riverton, Utah. Planning Commission Meetings are held on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Riverton City Hall, located at 12830 South 1700 West, Riverton, Utah. Board of Adjustment Meetings are held on an as needed basis on the fourth Tuesday of each month beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Riverton City Hall, located at 12830 South 1700 West, Riverton, Utah. Redevelopment Agency Meetings, Special and/or Emergency Meetings, in addition to those specified, may be held as circumstances require. Best practicable notice will be given for such meetings. Meetings may be canceled; however, best practicable notice will be given for canceled meetings. Meetings will not be held on a State or a Federal holiday or on an Election Day. All meetings are open to the public unless closed, pursuant to the applicable provisions of the Utah Open and Public Meetings Act. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), reasonable accommodations may be provided upon receipt of a request to the Recorder’s Office at 801-208-3126, providing at least 48 hous advance notice of the meeting. Accessible parking and entrance are located on the south end of the building with elevator access to the City Council Rooms located on the second (2nd ) floor. |
